A Home Away is a world-class, residential, addiction recovery retreat in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.
We offer hope and health when addiction is a problem, whether to alcohol, other drugs, gambling, smoking, or other compulsions such as to food or sex. We also specialize in helping adult children of alcoholics (ACOA's) and those living with addiction or co-dependency.
A Home Away is a unique place that offers tremendous value. It is a place of hope and healing from all forms of addiction. No more than eight guests are accepted at a time in our beautiful home environment. Every person has their own bedroom and is treated just as any guest is treated in a home. Guests share in wonderful family-style meals in the dining room, prepared by one of their outstanding professional chefs.
The program is robust, with both small group and individual counselling. All aspects of healing in mind, body and spirit are addressed. Their holistic approach includes massage, sauna, yoga, music, art, and seasonal recreational activities. Twelve step philosophy and attendance at meetings is part of the experience.
Residential programs are 42 days for primary recovery, with extended stays of 2 or 3 months. The optimal recovery program is 91 days.
